Max the Dog needs a home

Meet Max! He was found in January with no ID tag or microchip, and a good samaritan took him in and asked if Cause for SB Paws could help rehome him if no owners were found. She held him for his stray hold period and looked for owners who were sadly never found. Now Max is fully vetted and looking for a forever home.

A little bit about Max according to his finder and foster: He’s been good with big and small dogs at the vet but he is not recommended for a household with cats. He’s housebroken and holds his potty for long periods of time. He doesn’t enjoy crates so he sleeps in my room crate free. He prefers to sneak into bed with me when all is quiet. He is good with adults and kids. He loves walks but needs a little work on his pulling behavior. He loves car rides and to go chill out with us when we go places that have outdoor areas for dogs. He’s definitely energetic and super friendly and lets people walk right up to him for petting. He’s also not at all shy about approaching people on his own so he’s very outgoing. He’s very strong and doesn’t tire out too easily on walks. His coat is in great condition. You can tell someone was grooming his nails before he got left/lost. He’s not very big on barking. The only thing I’ve noticed that gets him barking is skateboarders and kids on bicycles. He loves plush squeaky toys and his dog biscuits.
